Life began in the aqueous part of what became
the biosphere. But that was a long time before the dinosaurs. Longer than you
can imagine. These animation were made in Light Wave with Cinepak compression.
We told our animation guru to use a different compression, but he didn't
listen. The first one is about 1.5 Mb. But since you are probably using the
broadband, next generation, fat-pipe internet you can get these in less than nine
seconds. They are playable in Windows Media player or Real Player or Quick Time players.
Before Dinosaur Time shows no dinosaurs
just cool changes with geologic time.
During the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous
Periods of the Mesozoic Era there were whole herds of dinosaurs. All were
heterotrophic. None were autotrophic. Some were herbivores. Some were
carnivores. Some were omnivores. Some had hips like birds. Some had hips
different from birds. Almost all were poikilotherms. Almost none were
homeotherms. None were viviparous. After the asteroid hit though, there were
some homeotherms which were not dinosaurs which had a beneficial selective
advantage in some areas of the earth and they developed extensively after that.
Our animation shows lots of plants and lots of dinosaurs.
The time of the dinosaurs.
Starring a theropod, a marginocephalian and a cast of dozens of others in their
natural setting. About 1.3 Mb.

We didn't know where else to put this dinosaur. It had eaten some
ergot fungus or perhaps some Lophophora williamsii, we weren't quite sure
which. Possibly hung around with Carlos Castaneda. We were surprised since
velociraptors were carnivorous.
